Well, it took a while to make sure that my PC is now stable, but things seem to be working (fingers crossed and all that!) :-)

After replacing the Motherboard (for a different existing issue), and the PSU, it turned out that the component that was venting (and giving me the eye irritation and other issues), was the Graphics card (my main candidate was the PSU). Essentially I’ve replaced 75% of the computer. I haven’t re-installed Windows as the replacement Motherboard was the same make as the original, but Windows threw a wobbly as it treated the replacement as a new computer and I needed to re-authenticate (that is a saga in itself!). The Graphics card wasn’t the same and this has caused me the most issues as everything worked for about three days before I ended up with black screens and just a mouse cursor. I had to find a slightly older set of drivers that Win7 could work with. All was going swimmingly until I then lost Internet and Network connectivity. This took a while to fix as it turned out to be one of my Wireless Access Points (WAP) that had accidently got covered and had overheated. The overheated WAP was continually rebooting itself in an endless loop which the main Router couldn’t handle and which caused it to lock up and prevented it from starting up properly when I rebooted it. I’ve sorted all that out and things seem to be working now (crosses toes as well!).

You can guess where Chesney is thinking, but i’m sure that Annie would be happy to go anywhere warm. :D

I am sure Chesney isn’t thinking of Annie’s comfort…he just wants all the egg nog! rush.diana,have you and Mrs Claus been hitting it early too? I will join you in a virtual glass!

Craig is getting his first immunotherapy infusion (a ten hour day that started at 6 am) and Ten Cats gave us our fist laugh of the day. Bad Chesney!
