Because of a Polish grandmother, I heard a ton of polka music as a kid, but I only recognize Tick Tock and Helena (which I knew as “She’s Too Fat for Me”). BTW, there’s an amazing YouTube of the Clarinet Polka being played on a Chinese dulcimer; even people who don’t like polka music should enjoy that one.
Ironically, the reason I enjoy Hispanic radio stations is that they’re the closest I’ve found to polka since KNUJ, New Ulm, MN, “The Polka Station of the Nation,” went Country. Same joyous beat.
