A few months ago I watched a Mule Deer doe first raid a neighbors bird feeder by tipping it so the seed just poured into her mouth then move a couple of steps and do the same thing to the hummingbird feeder. When I told the neighbor he said he’d been wondering why the feeders were both emptying every evening.

The big grays around here have that figured out. The reds and the lesser grays wait at the bottom. Not seen any deer.

That feeder looks like the two I have. I think they hold two pounds of seed. I only fill them up with black oil sunflower seeds.
