My gray semi-feral is definitely of that mindset, and I think one of the vets at the practice would be fine with that. Both she and her assistant were terrified of my little Freyja. Now Freyja is semi-feral still, but is making progress (she learned how to meow right before Christmas, it only took 13 months to learn!). Freyja is also a “beta” personality and is the sweetest, most gentle kitty. She would not have survived long if she hadn’t been in the middle of the highway huddled in terror when I found her.
