How you lads sing “Silent Night” for the cops’ sake?

@Number Three Today’s strip is very fitting for the season , but I feel sorry for poor Mr Andrew Capp and his drunken friends having to spend it in the lock-up :o) am I right? , my avatar speaks for itself , how was your day and did Santa bring you any presents ? our day should be quite with just Connie , me and Bella , our sons won’t be visiting because they are both on duty but at least they get paid 2 1/2 pay rate and they brought over their present yesterday , take care pal.

Merry Christmas Cappers!

Andy continues another Christmas tradition.

I don’t get in here as often as I used to (needing to scratch my satire itch on the politcal cartoons), but Merry Christmas, Cappers!

THE NIGHT BEFORE WOLFMAS

’Twas the night before Wolfmas, with church bells glad tones

But the wolf paid no heed, gnawing antelope bones

And gizzards of penguins and eyeballs of wombats

(He’d worked up an appetite, winning those combats)

The wolf was well-mannered, he kept out of bars

And ate ducklings and trucklings and kids’ Hot Wheels cars

And also pajamas, both empty and full

Cocos and Frodos and bison and bull

But then overhead flew a man in a sleigh

(The reindeer kept out of wolf’s reach and his way)

The sleigh circled round, flying nearer and nearer

The wolf gave a sneer, which got sneerer and sneerer

Then the wolf took a look: that man seemed familiar

Bringing back memories, glad though peculiar

Of faraway days when the wolf was a pup

And life was a joy, with a “why” to wake up

Then the man in the sleigh did something unseemly

From out of a nightmare, or, leastways, a dreamly

Dropped a whole load of coal (and plutonium, too!)

On the head of the wolr, and his fleas and ticks, too

You weep for the wolf, whose hopes were all dashed?

You shed bitter tears for his life being crashed?

He HADN’T had hope, no matter how fleeting

The wolf gave a snort, and went back to his eating

Andy and his pals are “Merry” all right!

I didn’t get anything this year. I’ve got too much stuff as it is. Anyway, Christmas is for kids. And sadly I am not a kid anymore.

I got a Samsung Galaxy tablet last Christmas but in August I gave it to my Mum because I prefer everything in one on my Smartphone.

It’s been quiet here as well. Christmas dinner was lovely though.

Tis the season to get wasted! Merry Christmas. :)
