Rather like spending hours cooking a meal and having someone slather it with bottled sauce, shovel it in and leave the table without a word.

So now we’ll get a bunch of comments from I-people saying “you shouldn’t feed chocolate to dogs.” IT’S A COMIC. JUST ENJOY THE HUMOR.

BTW, used the inflation calculator: that 10 cent piece of candy would cost about 85 cents today.

BTW my dog gobbles food down and I don’t think he tastes it either!

If I may put in my 2 cents: this comic completely suits my taste

Actually it’s kind of pointless in the first place to feed expensive treats to an animal that licks its own genitals and eats its own poop

And the worst part is, when Chuck dropped the bag of candy in his outrage, Snoopy probably gobbled up the rest of them…

Oh Charlie Brown, as my friends and I always used to say to each other when we were kids: “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”

$.85 would be a cheap price to pay for a fine chocolate.

Someone told me dogs eat like that because eating more slowly increases the risk of losing their food to a bigger dog or other predator.

It appears that chocolates have a similar adverse effect on Charlie Brown as they reportedly do with dogs!

Good news! Snoopy would likely have been okay, as long as that was all the chocolate he had https://www.vets-now.com/dog-chocolate-toxicity-calculator/

My mom used to get really mad at our dog for not chewing. Also, if she gave the dog a nice bone from the butcher, our dog would immediately bury it and never see it again.

Charlie Brown’s parents must REALLY be cheapskates for him to behave like that.

While we all know that chocolate is bad for dogs, some can handle it okay – my 78 lb hound mix ate an entire 1 lb bag of M&M’s that my ex left by the front door one night in his work bag so he wouldn’t forget it the next morning. My dog was fine, not a problem. Of course, this same wolf followed up that act a few months later with when he ate an 5 lb box of salt water taffy, wrappers and all, that the same ex left in the same spot. My dog lived to almost 18 and far outlasted the relationship!

NOTE: do not try this with any dog, we were lucky he didn’t get sick from either food, you may not be.

We used to give our German shepherd an M&M. She would crunch it 3 times. Such a dainty eater.

    You’re worried about 10 cents? In 2021 a Snickers bar is $3.00.
