As Snoopy would philosophize some time in the future (and I’m paraphrasing here): “happiness is hugging a puppy.”

at this point in time, does Snoopy belong to anyone? Charlie Brown notes “a dog” and not “my dog”.

Today’s “Peanuts Begins” reminds me of the very first strip Charles Schulz drew from October 2, 1950. As a smiling Charlie Brown walks along the street Shermie, sitting on a stoop with Patty, says several times “Gool Ol’ Charlie Brown,,” but in the last cel says “How I Hate Him.”

Cheer up Charlie Brown—millions of us love you!

I have to say – on the toughest days, our dog being so happy to see me that she wanted to lick my nose made a difference.
