Some people now actually do speculate that Haydn wrote it. Joseph Haydn’s younger brother Michael, that is.

It gets its name, by the way, from the fact that it includes a number of toys and noisemakers in it.

    CB’s is getting Angerer. :-)

“Recent research (published in 1996) on a newly found manuscript suggests the Austrian Benedictine monk Edmund Angerer [de] (1740–1794) to be the author.” – Wikipedia

William Shakespeare did not write all those plays. It was someone else with the same name.

Based loosely on a novel by his second cousin’s hairdresser’s plumber’s assistant. We think. Or it could have been Bacon. History is torn.

Mozart’s father wasn’t Mozart? Hmmm. And Murphy’s law was not written by Murphy. It was written by another guy with the same name.

who knew? — It has three movements and typically takes around seven minutes to perform. It was long reputed to be the work of Joseph Haydn, but later scholarship suggested that it was actually written by Leopold Mozart.

" Well, I don’t like Mozart’s father’s music. It is too old fashioned."
