Didn’t the most of us ignore younger kids when we were in the early grades? It was a number of years along before the gang was written as being the same in age, except for the obvious younger siblings – Sally and Linus.
Basically a re-draw of the first three panels (pose and angle of walk, etc) of the very first Peanuts strip, (My all time fave) but just with different dialog.
