Didn’t the most of us ignore younger kids when we were in the early grades? It was a number of years along before the gang was written as being the same in age, except for the obvious younger siblings – Sally and Linus.

Basically a re-draw of the first three panels (pose and angle of walk, etc) of the very first Peanuts strip, (My all time fave) but just with different dialog.

At least Violet and/or Patty didn’t conclude with “How I hate him!” (An obvious reference to the first “Peanuts” comic strip.)
