My mother refused to use Mecurochrome, the red disinfectant most parents slapped all over any small scrape or cut. She used Petro-Carbolic salve instead, which had a strong smell and had to be covered by a band-aid because it was greasy. My school friends wore their red-painted contusions like badges of honour.
Uh oh, better look out. How are they ever going to survive getting all of these injuries. Better get them inside a bubble just to keep them away from LIVING!!!!!!
How are they going to survive? They were actually allowed to live back then
I blame it on the “safety counsel” they hadn’t forced kids to wear kneepads, helmets, bubble wrap, and all the other “safety” clothes at that time. It’s a wonder there are any children. you know the old saying “if your parents didn’t have any children that lived, you probably won’t either” →_→ ←_←
