Possibly explains why Snoopy eventually indulges in so much fantasy later on, and has a bird as a best friend.

None of my dogs considered themselves dogs. My cat did, though. He would even stay on command. Not for long, but long enough to get his vaccines. The vet couldn’t believe it.

Try telling that to the people who require service dogs.

Hey Snoopy, you get your meals for free, do not have to pay any bills, do not have to work, it could be worse for you!

He later becomes glad he’s a dog—and not a cat.

Just self-identify as a human. Everyone will fall all over themselves to accommodate you.

So then Snoopy wouldn’t consider owning a human?

SO, that leaves either a cat or an anaconda…

Is this the point where Snoopy starts to develop his “world famous” fantasy life?

Well, this is obvious. Snoopy was born into the wrong body and identifies as… Let’s see, there was a rhino and a vulture and a snake and let’s not forget Joe Cool and many many others. He was gender and species fluid. Good ol’ Sparky was decades ahead of his time in recognizing the tyranny of western supremacy.

Snoopy must be 14, in human years he is in his terrible twos.

And soon thereafter, the WWI Flying Ace was born!

I much prefer The Peanuts strip at this time of its existence. I like how Snoopy actually acts as a dog. The Early strips are the Best !

Switch the word dog with human and that would be about right! ; )

Profound thought. Owning a dog from the dogs perspective. Snoopy doesn’t like dogs at all.
