Those fake buildings must throw off salespeople and proselyting missionaries every once in a while.

You can probably tell the fake buildings apart from the real ones by the smell.

    Umm, on second thought …

I wonder if the Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons have a list of those addresses in New York.

between Governor’s Island and Brooklyn there are artificial islands with ventilation towers for subway tunnels going under the East River; The Holland and Lincoln Tunnels between NJ and NYC also have venting shafts. Partially how the NYC subway system got flooded during Superstorm Sandy 6 years ago.

Burberry’s reasoning for burning clothing instead of donating it was that they didn’t want the ‘wrong’ kind of people (read: poor people) to be seen in their brand, making it seem less luxurious. Toxic capitalism.

I’m not sure that “chased” is the correct or even appropriate verb for what the Secret Service did at the NYC Marathon. They ran the race with her. While I’m sure that among the agents there are at least a few marathon runners, I’d still give them kudos for that above-and-beyond performance of their duties!

Didn’t one of the “Sherlock” episodes bring that ‘fake building’ practice to light?
