The conversation in this strip is why I am pessimistic of our political situation ever getting better. Disagreement between people of both parties has turned into downright hatred and a no compromise mentality.
Why is self righteousness a bad thing— it’s just another word for pride, and if you can’t be proud of your beliefs, then you really need to do some thinking about them. “Hate has no home here” is something to be proud of.
I guess it’s hard not to feel a little self-righteous when the leader of the free world is the most colossal bag of douche you’ve ever seen in your life.
