Don’t worry, Hobbes. Mom put a shot of brandy in your cocoa.

I wonder if Trump did the same thing when he was a kid.

Ah memories, as a kid I used to design castles complete with secret passages, never built any though, happy days….

There is nothing more realistic in this comic than the “Snow fort that you planned to be amazing, but gave up on quickly”. This, more than anything, tells me that Watterson not only remembered being a child, but UNDERSTOOD it. I can’t even TELL you the number of times I literally drew out diagrams for snow forts that never got made.

If he wants another way of building a snow fort, he could try Minecraft.

I find it funny that Calvin’s mom gives him TWO hot chocolates for him and his (to her) stuffed tiger… ;-). As soon as I saw the strip was about a snow fortress and a wall, I knew what would happen. I guess I can just find humor in these strips, unlike some who simply cannot leave the politics out of the comics comments. After all, come on – this is from the 1980s

When dreams meet reality don’t give up the dream, just go back to the drawing board. Eventually, you’ll become an architect and build realistic dreams!

It’s been a long time since I sat on the floor and played cowboys and indians with my fort. Sigh!

Didn’t every kid have over ambitious plans for a snow fort?

Silly boy, snow like that is for sledding, not snowmen. Even this Southern girl knows that.

Calvin may have to fold to his base if they demand he build the wall.

Making a fortress in the warm and cosy fireplace is far more comforting than the actual one. After all making fortress in air has it’s own rewards as the saying goes.

The great thing about Calvin and Hobbes is that it accurately portrayed what it was like to be a kid. Today’s comic is a good example.
