If he DOES get a dog, he’ll be under constant scrutiny, so there’s no need to worry about the dog’s safety. People act like Vick has some inner voice constantly shouting “MUST…KILL…FIDO!” What he did in the past was terrible, but he did his time; the only reason to forbid him to own a dog now is to continue punishing him indefinitely.

Start him off with an older dog, maybe a shelter rescue. Let him show he CAN give a good home to some dog who NEEDS one. Rehabilitation is a worthy goal, and so is atonement.

Actions have consequences, Vick (as well as other PRIVILEGED athletes) never accept the fact that consequences that apply to you or me need apply to them.

Interesting personal vindictive. Apparently lifebyc believes Vick may have been justly convicted but unfairly sentenced. If lifebyc believes that has been so quickly rehabilitated it is his prerogative to do so. . Please consider Vick’s possible motivation to be considered “Cured” & “rehabilitated” by the general public. The expanded market for his paid endorsements would greatly expand. Vick may well be a better man for his re habitation but a few more years of practice of the new found virtue will be necessary for me to sip the cool aid. Best wishes from the exurbs of reality.
