“Who pays for it?” Why the same “folks” that ALWAYS end up footing the bill, the US Taxpayer.

I have a Dream. That one day the American Taxpayer would wake up one bright sunny morning, take a tip from Gandhi’s book and Refuse to Cooperate. In MASS.

And It wpuldn’t matter what “Party” was currently in “power.”

Even if the US tax payer foots the bill, it will save so much money in the next few years that it will be a great investment not to mention a security feature.

By the way… the latest Tweet from the twit…“We lose 300 Americans a week, 90% of which comes through the Southern Border. These numbers will be DRASTICALLY REDUCED if we have a Wall!”

More people were killed by romaine lettuce last year because the Trump admin FDA relaxed the rules on tainted water use

then were killed by people illegally crossing the border.

The misconception is that building a stronger border barrier (wall, steel fence, and/or other technological marvel) will stop EVERY illegal attempt to cross. No one with half a brain believes that. The concept is based around minimizing the successful attempts. Almost every civilized country controls their own borders. Why shouldn’t the U.S?

The most ignorant comments the last couple of days state absolutely that walls don’t work. Of course they do. Otherwise why do construction companies put fences around the construction zones? Maybe to keep people out due to the dangerous environment within the zone and to prevent pilfering. Does it work 100% of the time? Of course not, but again it minimizes the encroachments.

An opposite example are prisons. Walls and other barriers are built to keep a dangerous element away from the general public. Do they work 100% of the time? Nope, occasionally you hear about the prison break. However the barriers have been very successful in minimizing the successful break outs, and because of other security factors most escaped inmates is caught pretty quickly.

Let’s remember, border security isn’t just about preventing illegal immigration. Right now the U.S. cannot control the flow of illegal drugs, firearms, or for that matter fireworks. Wouldn’t it be nice to cut the river down to a trickle?

Last point, many illegal immigrants end up being exploited here in the U.S. Don’t believe me? Take a look at how many social work agencies in California focus on helping victims of human trafficking, many of those victims being immigrants. Believe it or not, The U.S. doesn’t always end up being the safe haven many immigrants expect.

    Rant over.

I can’t help but wonder how things may have turned out if we had backed William Walker in 1854 to keep the Sonora or if we had incorporated Mexico after we took it in 1848 instead of giving it back. Interesting thought exercise anyway.

Trump’s vanity project (and over-compensating—ask Stormy Daniels about that) is, of course, sheer raw idiocy based on lies. Let’s refute both the idiocy, and the lies, shall we: Here we go with objective reality: By far the great majority of people who become illegal aliens over-stay their visas, and do NOT cross the border from Mexico. (They come in by plane, originally.) The largest current drug problem in the United States is being caused by AMERICAN drug companies—the opiod crisis. Illegal aliens commit violent crimes and other serious crimes at a MUCH LOWER RATE than American citizens. (Please don’t call these facts from the Department of Homeland Security itself “fake news”—people who do that look dumber than a Trump.)

If they were Trump steaks, you could use ketchup to mortar them together.
