I’m not sure parenthood and friendship go together. Sometimes a Mom or Dad have to say “no” to their child. Friends are equal in authority and influence in each other’s lives, but especially when kids are young (which probably extends to about 20 or so), parents have to assume a higher degree of control, thus making them unequal, and thus making them not “friends.” Lessons I learned being a Dad and a Grandpa.
I have found that the family I have chosen for the most part are the only ones I can rely upon. I only hope that everyone has a family like the one I have chosen.

That reminds me, we were never really clear on whether Florence is Marigold’s older, or younger sister.

Seems to me that Phoebe is starting to get too big to sit on Marigold much longer.

Nice to see the genuine affection between Phoebe and Marigold.

Reminds me of the early days of Happy Days. “Sit on it!”

But didn’t this strip start because Phoebe was granted a wish and that was for them to be friends?

I kept telling my wife the same thing, but she kept screaming “You don’t HAVE a little sister!”…
