A couple of years ago we adopted a deaf Navajo girl and had to learn ASL in a hurry. I wondered why she kept saluting me until I learned that it was the sign for ‘Daddy’. Since then, that little salute always gets me.
Some memories are too much to lose.
My son is like that with his little girl. :D
If my son did something like this, I’d take the next opportunity to give him one of those bear hugs where he protests that he might need that lung.

Admit it. Daddy’s Little Girl can make him cry every time. Same with all fathers.
