Thought of this since I posted – when I was in first grade the teacher had us make pencil holders from frozen concentrated OJ cans. We painted the cans (mine was painted white – not sure if there was a choice) and we put glitter on the cans.
Dad kept it on his work desk. When he became ill and was no longer able to work I took over his accounting practice (I had been working with him for a couple of decades) and his desk – and my pencil holder. I now have a home office and the pencil holder sits between my computer tower and monitor and holds my pencils and pens.

What I wouldn’t give to have a mug like that. Too late now that Dad has passed. This made me cry today, too.

My father in law had a picture of his daughter and him when she was a teen in his pocket while he walked my bride down the aisle.

How about “The day before WE got married”?

Ben’s tee shirt should say “I paid for the wedding and all I got was this mug” :-)
