I just lost my doggy and now this is one of my fave strips. It sucks loosing your best friend on a new years day,

This is one of the few times that the previous poster’s have covered everything I was myself feeling. Very well done strip.

If Little Dog finds a forever home, Steve will have to change the strip. And then we would all lose!

For all who have lost a pet, any time, any where, my condolences. It really sucks to lose a friend.

This just breaks my heart Little Dog. But I guess a sub is better than nothing at all.

I lost my girl of 13 years in November. My heart goes out to Phaze 53.

Wow - not often that a cartoon strip makes me catch my breath like that. Nice one Steve. But throw us a bone - maybe he could catch up with a solid buddy - even if just for a little while? :)

Heart-breaking. I held it together for the final Brenda Starr, but this one did me in. (Has anyone seen where I put my meds?)

Wow. This strip just made me cry, and so did the comments. Phaze58, I’m really sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you find another little buddy soon. We lost our little Lucy Kitty to a fire in November, and it still hurts like crazy. Bobby Dog, whose picture I use for my icon here, was my childhood protector and only real friend. Our current dog, Charlie Pup, saved my wife & I the night of the fire by warning us. The love and companionship of a good pet can be more meaningful than many people will ever know.

I’ve had a copy of this strip on my bulletin board! I loved it immediately. Made me smile because I have a rat terrier that manages to find a person to snuggle up to where ever she is at. She always assumes people want her close up for some loving. :o) In Minnesota — November 26, 2011
