At least he asks.

Koko has got him well trained.

After that is the “I want a belly rub” bark.

My four also have a “I want water” bark.

Don’t leave him out too long…frost bites.

Pepper, the part-border-collie, went to the vet hospital today for surgery. We are anxiously waiting for the call to come get her. She’s 15, so we are concerned.

I hope everything will be OK.

Oscar, our 13 year old poodle, has FINALLY learned the let-me-out bark.

Saving a few for the neighbour dogs.

Blazer is very good about this sort of thing, and we didn’t teach him. When he needs to go out he will bark – just one sharp bark. It is also a pretty fair alarm clock. Once he’s been out and “done” he will again bark one short sharp back to let us know he wants to come back in.

Yup Alex had barks for food, going out, and the funniest of all was his going upstairs where he knew we had toys for him we bought and he’d bark till we came up and got him a new toy!

My dearly departed dog used to drop her leash at my feet or even did the same with my sneakers…no need for barks, I got the hint!
