Over heard during a discussion of ever granting the women the right to vote: “I tell you, it’s possible! Are you crazy? It will never happen…”

The most intriguing of Kroyer’s works is a double portrait of he and his wife: he painted her and she painted him.

Pretty crowded in that non-ventilated room. No wonder no women were around those meetings.

    “28 Angry Men”

Before it was shortened, because the kinetoscope was initially much too long.

“Krøyer’s eyesight failed him gradually over the last ten years of his life until he was totally blind. Ever the optimist, he painted almost to the end, in spite of health obstacles. In fact, he painted some of his last masterpieces while half-blind, joking that the eyesight in his one working eye had become better with the loss of the other eye.” (Wikipedia, not sourced.) Reminds me of Beethoven – blind painter, deaf composer.

I had to go to a law office to sign for my house. The only empty office was the one with the big conference table. It was one piece and clearly could not fit through any of the doors so I asked how they got it in. When they built the building, they put the table in before they put in the giant window that was on one side of the conference room.

So first order of business is how they will get these big tables in the rooms.
