    And to think Canadian’s have a little odd lingo for THEIR money: one dollar is a loony and two dollars is a toonie. (I, a US American, personally call a twenty-dollar note "dandy Andy [Jackson]).

    growing up I learned a quarter is 2 bits, a $1 is a buck, a $5 is a fin, $20 is a sawbuck. I’ve forgotten the rest of them now. Being Canadian I call a 5 cent coin a nickel or a beaver, a 10 cent coin is dime or a sailboat, a 25 cent coin is a quarter, or 2 bits, or a caribou, A $1 is a loonie, or a buck. a $2 is a toonie or the Queen with a bear behind.
