Then there’s the story teller getting bogged down in the details. My wife was telling a story about something that happened while she was eating yogurt. For some reason, she thought it was critical to get the flavor correct, only she couldn’t remember the flavor. I finally told her to make something up as there was no way I could verify what she said. Maybe I shouldn’t have suggested horseradish flavored yogurt.
On the other hand, Mark Twain’s, most famous short story, The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County is all about a man who insists on including every irrelevant detail. So maybe it still comes back to how you tell it.

You can be not at all “AHH”, but how about partially “AHH”?

This is one of the few BI strips I remembered perfectly the second time I saw it. Maybe because the examples flow so well with the instructions.
