How true; McDonald’s at one point called the people that design their menu “food engineers”. Now the little-known fact: The “food engineers” were so named because they literally engineered “food” derived from various chemicals dug up mines in Chile and Burma. A strict vegan could eat anything on the menu without devouring either a meat or a vegetable. The makers of veggie burgers and other vegetarian meat substitutes use the pioneering work of McDonald’s to produce their “food.”

Too British probably but surely “Better a raccoon’s lavatory than a tycoon’s laboratory” would be cuter?

I wonder where this guy thinks the other vegetables come from.
They have a lot of artificial chemicals, but they aren’t actually made in a laboratory.
