We had about an inch of snow last week. Husband went out (and I followed him as he gets sick from physical activity) to shovel. I managed to do most of the snow pushing on the driveway – while he cleared the car. He was afraid that since the following days were going to be frigid and it would not melt it would get slippery. He also put out enough salt that it still looks as if it was just dropped.

Adam, that so sounds like a great plan! I’ll be sure to remember that for next time.

Our last snow was over week ago, less than an inch predicted and well over that dropped

They plowed it all into the corner of the parking lot at work right by where I usually park

Been unseasonably warm this last week, now there is an enormous puddle in that poorly draining corning of the parking lot

When you get to a certain age, the primary goal of shoveling snow becomes to not die.

What’s the rush? It’ll melt in March.

As long as the work gets done before you need it all is well. I mean really, without a snow blower your likely to shovel your way into back pain and muscle fatigue, maybe a heart attack. Whats the hurry?

Obviously Adam does not live in a municipality which fines you for not getting the walks cleared by a certain time. The nearest city has a ridiculous 5 hour period.
