weird grade school memories of 70 years ago, a girl named Diane, on top of the monkey bars walking on the rungs forward and then equally unconcerned backward…
When I were a lad, that was known as a horizontal ladder; never knew a catchier name for it. Monkey bars, aka jungle gym, was a three-dimensional grid of steel pipes. According to Wikipedia, the horizontal ladder is also called monkey bars.

Whatever you call them, it’s fun to monkey around on them!

Nice form, Red. And proper physics on the clothes as well.

That’s right, Red! You love the bars but you’re no monkey!

Do they still have these? If so, the lawyers must love them!

About 60 years ago, I loved the monkey bars. I had blisters and/or calluses on my hands September through June.

I envy Red. Cause I could never do them without getting blisters, lol!

Loved the monkey bars, the slides at the park, plus did cartwheels, and back flips and somersaults too, so much fun, such great memories

Humanoid bars don’t have the same ring to it somehow.

I love the skinny tummies showing belly buttons. Makes me want to run up to a kid and blow on their tums.
