I don’t know what kind of skipping rope style Christopher and Richard Nichols are used to, but the skip rope I remember involved jumping in one spot and not this bizarre hopping down the road Elizabeth is doing. Given the visuals, I would have expected them to make a joke about how Elizabeth is “hopping mad.”
In Panel 3, Elizabeth’s vertical leap is impressive. She should go out for basketball or volleyball or the high jump. Even more impressive is Panel 1, where she manages to make a little dust cloud appear not only where she has been but where she is going to be.
If Farley is ever found, Elizabeth can reward herself with a thesaurus and think up fresh, vivid words instead of repeating the same words five times each.
I got into reader hot-water for using the word “stoopid”. The point being that I had spelled the word incorrectly. If I was going to use it at all, it should be correctly spelled. I explained that I had spelled it the way it sounds when spoken by an enraged kid. Interestingly, they said nothing about the inappropriate use of the word “dumb.” How stoopid!

Elisabeth can really get some air here. She would do great in hurdles.

You will never catch the dog by hopping at it. However, a quick walk home to get Mom and the car may produce results.

I could be wrong, but doesn’t Farley run free fairly often …?

Elizabeth should own up to her problem and get these guys to help her capture Farley.

Liz is using more energy being mad, than taking the dog for a run in the first place.
