How about ONE term?… so they don’t blow the first term campaigning for the second?

Hey, Shoe, I think that’s how it works in Illinois.

As long as the prison term is longer than the “service” term.

This is irresponsible, cynical crap. Responsible voters do their job and vote them out.

I so advocate that for the pack of “535” that stay in DC forever.

For some reason this reminds me of Gaius Verres observation that a Roman provincial governor had to make three fortunes: one to acquire the governorship, the second to bribe the jury to overlook his financial irregularities, and the third to retire on.

Or the cowards who quit for family reasons ,so that they wouldn’t be caught , gutless

I seem to recall seeing this strip many years back. I know I have been quoting that joke about “two terms” for at least 30 years now.

I feel the same way about hedge fund managers.

One prison term may not be long enough.

Of equal length.

We do that for our governors here in Illinois.
