Never heard of pinching for not wear green on St Patricks Day. I do know that in high school the Italian kids would brown and there would be fights between the two groups.
In a workplace long long ago, someone chided a man for not wearing green on St. Patrick’s. He said he was wearing green and offered to take his pants off. Female co-worker said, “Well I do hope it’s your underwear!” and walked off.

I often wear an orange T shirt, unless the situation calls for better clothes.

Just keep your hands off me lucky charms, or is that what he’s trying to encourage?

If your underwear has turned green it’s more than due to be washed…
