Apparently Calvin likes to live on the edge.

Oh, won’t the teacher and the principal of these kids’ school like this story.

I’d think a project collecting dead bugs would be something Calvin would get a kick out of.

Calvin pretty much bugs everyone. He could at least get graded for showing up.

Somethings wrong. This isn’t the Susie I know.

Nothing like that dreaded realisation you’ve forgotten something really important for a big dose of adrenaline!

It’s really amazing how Susie puts up with Calvin despite all his jerk-waddery. Even after he insults her and bad moods her in the last strip, she still tries to help him in this one.

Calvin’s bugbear about bugs is bugging him.

Oh well, insect populations are in decline anyway.

Insect projects are pointless

Calvin, Susie likes you, she is trying to help you, give her some smooches.

Been there and done that, though for me it was plants. I feel your pain kid.

And this sounds like the kind of project Calvin would enjoy!

I think Susie is pulling his leg. There is no project.

haha, I was just thinking about this one the other day, and was wondering when it was coming up! Susie’s “You forgot it ENTIRELY?” reaction is hilarious, and just makes this one. Her sheer disbelief that even Calvin could be THAT careless is just incredible.

Of course, Susie – don’t you know this guy by now?

At a parent-teacher conference our son’s teacher told us that she had a problem with him. He did not hand in an assignment and when she asked him where it was, she expected every excuse from “The dog ate it” to “It was stolen by extraterrestrials.” So she was floored when he told her, “I didn’t do it.”

She told us that she had nowhere to go with that one except, “Well, then DO it!”

I feel soory for the bugs!!

9pm. Mom, I need some poster board for my science project. It’s due tomorrow morning!

Maybe a little preoccupied with the Beanie? lol

When I was in school we got a science class assignment of an insect collection. It wasn’t due until late November but if you waited until the last minute you would not find any insects.

I pasted this entire arc onto poster board and hung it up in our Insect Biology classroom — yes, they had to make a collection too!

i’d like to see a strip of those two married with their first child

I find it weird that the teacher would make kids kill bugs for a school project.
