Only 1 [one] ad? where is this person living? I get at least 5 ads and usually one of them is replayed a second time in the same ‘pause’. Luckily, I hardly ever have the sound up or I’m fastforwarding through them on the DVR.
DAK sold a VCR that supposedly would stop recording broadcast TV during commercials; so when you played the recording back, it would be commercial free. I had just bought a different brand, so I don’t know how well it worked. The one I bought had a “commercial skip” feature, where it would fast forward for 30 seconds at each button press. I miss features like that – it should be easy with the digital recorders now, but I haven’t seen any with features like that. Of course, now, the commercial skip would require 10 to 15 or more presses, versus the 1, 2 or 3 back then.

Brutus, you’re lucky it was not one of those annoying infomercials.

Finally a honest commercial.

I was surprised the other day. The network actually crammed in 5 minutes of programming between commercials in a one hour show.

Actually, it should be two words “Call NOW!”
