The Comic Strip That Has A Finale Every Day by John "Scully" Scully for July 11, 2019

Today’s Throwback Thursday goes back to almost four years ago on July 21st, 2015, when John “Scully” Scully decided to break his silence and do a Q&A on Twitter.

The Tale of the Giant Frog Creature from Outer Space (Ep #10) :

Dr. Frogenstein requests for a meeting with the Supreme Imperial Ruler For Life Supremo The Great Frog Emperor Dy Nastycuss Bribbitus, who was chosen to rule democratically. Yes you heard that right, folks. He was chosen democratically to rule for life. Hey, ya give voting power to frogs in a well and what more can ya expect?!

Dr. Frogentein explains the situation to the Supreme Imperial… Wait, I’ll just abbreviate him as SIRFLSTGFE Dy Nastycuss Bribbitus. But the SIRFLSTGFE doesn’t agree for an outer space exploration quoting their several centuries old religious document called Bribbittle. According to the Bribbittle, Thou shalt not move farther than Planet Diptera for it is forbidden. The document doesn’t give any valid or meaningful reason for that rule. Religious documents are rarely based on logic, ya know; same thing on this alien planet. The SIRFLSTGFE commands the froggie forces to train well and be ready for combat with the giant mosquitoes on Bribbitt as well as on Planet Diptera.

Dr. Frogentsein tries to reason that they should find out where these fiendish mosquitoes are coming from. He says the froggies have the technological advancements to try and achieve outer space travel beyond Diptera, or at least find the home spaceship of the mosquito creatures which may be hiding beyond Diptera, and destroy them all, but in vain. The SIRFLSTGFE simply refuses and declares that if anyone even tries for outer space research, then they would be forced to croak by croaking their last croak as per the blasphemy law.

Frustrated, Dr. Frogentsein returns to his lab, thinking, “This fanatic nutjob should go. Otherwise he’ll be the ultimate doom of all of us. The giant mosquitoes may soon arrive and we’ll just be sitting frogs in a well!”

Meanwhile, General Brekk who’s recovering in the Well Hospital well, gets this news, and gives a sigh of despair.
