Hi, on today’s episode of Sunday with the Stars, we interview Doggy the smiling dog. This is your favourite interviewer bear, welcoming Doggy. Hi, Doggy, tell our audience something about yourself and your journey in comics.

Doggy : Hi, I’ve been around in comics longer than you know. I began as a background character, like many others in this strip, and eventually began to get better roles. Then, in one comedy strip, people noticed my toothy smile and then i became a star through the doggie toothpaste commercials. My toothy smile has helped sell millions of doggie toothpaste. I’m happy that I could bring in a sense of dental hygiene amongst the dogs who rarely used to brush their teeth before.

Bear : How’d you get into all this bye bye racket Doggy?

Doggy : Ever since I became famous after the doggie toothpaste commercials, I’ve been getting a lot of calls from a lot of cartoonists. I had also got an offer to play Edward’s dog on Rex Morgan show. But I turned it down for they weren’t keen on showing my famous smile. I also got an offer to play The Phantom’s new dog.. er.. wolf, but I refused as that character wasn’t allowed to smile. However, soon the great creator John “Scully” Scully reached out to me and offered me a major smiling role in this spectacular strip. And the rest is history!
