Today’s Flashback Friday takes us back to August 22, 2015, when Brekk the giant frog from outer space was awarded as the most talented member of the cast by the senior reader and commenter Futabakun.

The Tale of the Giant Frog Creature from Outer Space (Ep #52) :

“What have to done to him, you fiend!”, screams Brekk, at the sight if what remains of Dr. Frogenstein – His brains in a glass container full of some liquid.

“Why, I’ve just preserved his only useful part, General. His brains. And we are close to tapping all his knowledge as our scientists are busily creating ingenious devices of our own to extract his knowledge and intelligence…”, says the Toad king.

“You’ve killed your golden goose, you fools”, says Brekk, “only a brain is of no use to you.”

“Shut up, foolish frog”, quips the toad king, “and now, say hi to pal, Dr. Frogenstein.”

Saying so, the Toad king turns on a switch on the cabinet. The brain inside the glass box on top of it begins moving a little. There are a lot of wires and cables connected to that brain. Suddenly, a voice speaks out from the speakers on the cabinet. “Hello …. B… Brekk…. Brekk… L… Look w… what … they … done… to … m.. me…”

“Heard your pal speaking, frogs?” Asks the toad king.

“You think I’m an idiot to believe this tripe?”, says Brekk, “why, that’s obviously a pre recorded or a fake voice over the speakers who is pretending to be the doc. Tell me where’s the real doc and what have you done to him?”

“Foolish frog, this is your doc Frogenstein. Go ahead and ask him anything that only the two of you would know and confirm yourself. Before I kill you, you need to know that we toads aren’t any less in science and technology than you. We’ve harnessed your doc’s brain and are keeping it alive by circulating life juices through it. This mega computer cabinet is his body now, which is fully under my control… say, what’s that darned buzzing sound?”, says the Toad king.

“I told you not to blast sky high firecrackers. Those giant mosquitoes or their devices sense heat from a great distance. Here they come now!”

And indeed, Brekk was right. The buzzing sound was the giant mosquitoes arriving!
