It the early days of TV there were lots of implosions. Fragile picture tubes. Then they started putting a protective lens in front of the tube. Still implosions, but not as many. Then they incorparted the high strength glass into the tube and that took care of the problem. Unless you had Thors hammer and were intent of making an implosion.
Used to do that once in a while in the TV CRT days – find an old TV, waiting for trash pickup day, take out the CRT (I got a lot of electronics parts), and find a empty trash can. Set it out somewhere and put in the tube. Now for the fun. Toss in bricks or rocks, eventually knocking off the neck, and pray the trash can would contain the shrapnel. 8^)

The “moob” sound comes from a super-chronic implosion of an explosion. (Super-chronic = faster than time).

Building demolition with explosives (implosives?) is an example of implosion, if it goes correctly, which it sometimes doesn’t.

His definition/description leaves a lot too be interpreted. He may have been better off saying, “It’s what I do when Gladys nags me”.
