I prefer to think I’ve moved on to focus my obsessions on more significantly misleading or meaningless misuse of language in verbal communication. For instance, the wildly popular but idiotic and illogical expression “going forward” is one that especially grates, or the use of “look” in a hortatory sense, when the speaker thinks bluster is the proper path to persuade or gain credibility.
Another that seems to vex me no end of late is compulsive insertion of “like,” not as a filler, but in the creation of an unnecessary simile when the speaker is referring to the actual thing itself. There’s a particularly comical example of this currently in public radio advertising for the language learning company, Babbel.com, where customers can “learn languages like Spanish, French or Italian.” And I always want to add, “… but not those actual languages. No, we’ll teach you Latin, Portuguese and Swahili instead.”

I guess I’m a bit of a grammar nazi. I twitch when I see incorrect spelling and improper grammar.

Some spelling, grammar, and usage mistakes are more irritating than others. There isn’t enough time in the world, though, to correct them all.
And it’s human nature for people to blame the person who points out their mistakes rather than correcting themselves.

You should see what happens at FBOFW when the kids ridicule each other by saying: “stoopid”. It’s like someone threw in a ham into a pool of piranhas!
