I don’t know which answer Bob would prefer.
Apparently, everybody is upset about Ballard Street ending.
They made short work of those pants.
When puppies go bad. (The Tower XVI)
A run-by shredding! Call the Sheriff!
Run a DNA sequence, Bob.
Of course it’s the “Terrible Two” well known ankle biters, those two.
That view may not answer your question.
Whew!
The Monkey came back just in time!
I mean…. I know he is still in “Da skies” and all…. and he can’t be here full time yet….
but I’m sooo glad to see him.
He’s my buddy… and also my boss at the Tiki….
But not only that…. I think I’m not acting Sheriff any more, and Rose isn’t a deputy, either….
We can feel OK about sitting in my bakery drinking tea, and watching out the window as BatPug and Officer Canine chase these guys down….
and if somebody calls my cell phone and yells “SHERIFF!!!” …
I can say "Sorry, wrong number… I believe you want Sheriff MonkeyBlues! "
C’mon Rose… there’s fresh berry jumble pie coming out in 11 minutes….
I’ll save us a window seat.
Oh… and you can help solve the Saturday puzzle on “Cleo and Company” …..

Good morning Sheriff.
There’s something about a man in plaid
That gets the dogs so mad
They’ll shred his pants to waste
Because of his poor taste.
But if you really want to see them vexed
Try wearing trousers with bright checks.
That ripped style is in; don’t ya know.
Dog-gone pants!
hey bob! are those your legs or are you sitting on a chicken??? har har har!!
That’s just a very funny picture. Well done, Jerry. A classic.
A new take on snatch and run.
They’re from one of the two doggie gangs on Ballard Street, the Rips. You should be happy you didn’t run into the other one, the Floods…
It’s the plaid pants Bob.. those dogs know fashion and plaid is out this year. .
Kudos to Bob for not being afraid to walk the same route…unless he has dementia…
I hope they start the reruns from the very beginning. This is such a ridiculously funny and at the same time sublime strip.
Bob just doesn’t get it that cuffs are not there to hold extra beef jerky.
Bob’s gone to the dogs once too often!
Bob’s a dog magnet. Those plaid pants draw them from all over.
PLEASE…. do NOT panic over Ballard Street “ending.”
It’s not ending… Jerry Van Amerongen is retiring….
he won’t be producing new strips, and we’ll miss him…..
but he deserves to retire…. and has confirmed that the strip itself is going into re-runs.
We’re not going anywhere.
We’ve already had reruns every now and then…. there’s a huge archive containing years of strips that’ll be new to most of us anyway.
It was discussed here at length a few days ago….
To take a look, use the calendar above to go back to March fifth….
