Saving the world is always a relevant incentive to action. But I am very intrigued by the phallic-looking elephant with glasses. I can’t read the title of the book he is reading!
I found the short story of the man with the golden “radio voice” very disturbing. Here is someone who is willing to try to get back into the work force. Will there be any takers???
Maybe the YouTube will convince someone to give him another chance!
I am a firm believer that if the women of the world disrobed then my world would be a better place. And I believe that my theory deserves to be at least tested.
Amazing vids you found today, Teresa. If I were rich beyond the dreams of avarice, I’d spend a lot of time traveling by train. National Geo did a piece about traveling across China by train, and even with the discomforts of third-class travel, it sounded like an amazing adventure.
Hope that fellow with a golden voice gets a break, he deserves it.
1957 seems to have struck me like a train through snow, she’s stunning. I wish I knew what she was saying, and I can’t stop looking at her! Choo-chooooo!
Saving the world isn’t that hard.
Everyone clean up your own mess.
Nobody mess with anybody.
But where’s the fun in that?
How do we unwarp the concept;
If you ain’t screwing someone,
you’re getting screwed.
The Arkansas Traveler brought back memories. When I was about four or five years old, Mr. Monroe performed at the school auditorium for an very small audience of probably about a hundred, in my hometown of Salem, S. C. He was standing outside talking to people afterwards. He picked me up, held me, and talked to me while he talked to my folks and others. I still remember that over 50 years later.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think the exclusion on Wikipedia was personal. Looking at the history, your strips have never been on the page, which just means someone never added them. I suspect someone just added strips for which there was an existing Wikipedia article (though, The Flying McCoys is an exception to that rule, but it’s the only one).
There’s a link at the bottom for “The complete directory of comic strips” at GoComics, which of course includes yours. But I see a lot of other ones that are missing as well, such as Bo Nanas, Girls & Sports (to pick a couple at random), and notably, In the Bleachers, which is actually published in my newspaper (and is one of my faves). So I don’t think it’s meant to be an exhaustive list.

I’m glad she’s at least saving the world while fashionable. Not that I agree with the article, but I read recently that granny panties are “back in”.
