The rest of the family should pitch in for some of those duties… it worked that way in mine.

I with Andy on this. I hate doing laundry, and I only have to do my own.

Is this foreshadowing a future strip? Emphasis on the last word.

I guess it hasn’t been that long ago that this was the norm, but wow, strips like this are almost appalling to read now. Give me one good reason why every person in that household (or nearly any other) should not be doing his/her own laundry.

She seems to be barely able to continue.

I’m 67 years old, an only child, and was doing laundry and ironing by the time I was seven. In the days before there was any “permanent press”. When I met my wife-to-be in college I asked her to help me with my laundry in order to spend time with her. She was less than amused when she mentioned it to my mother and she laughed so hard she couldn’t breathe…

I started doing my own laundry around age 11, so Jason, at least, might be off the hook, but it’s more than time for Peter and Paige to experience the joys.

Time to teach all 3 to do laundry.
