our dog used to chew on plastic… not eat/swallow, just turn big pieces of plastic into little pieces. Her preferred chew was plastic coat hangers, however plastic pens/markers were fair game if left accessible. Unfortunately those stain things when reduced to their bits. Fortunately she’s now grown out of that phase (but will still shred a ‘tasty’ stick occasionally).
