It would be worse if Hobbes was having the time of his life.

He probably rented Jungle Book and is rooting for Sher Khan.

Not even a tiger can beat the classics like “Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory”. He’s gonna be drooling over those sweets.

Good time for Hobbes to date a tigress .

Happy April,25 to all Italian fellow citizens .

Renting “The Cuisinart Murders of Central High”, perhaps?

I’m sure Hobbes is loving his break!

Hobbes is a lover. He loves smooches so I bet he watching Love Story.

Tigers are loners, or so we hear. Hobbes must be enjoying the alone time!

I have surveillance cameras to keep an eye on the house when I’m away. Brings peace of mind.

Those who remember this story arc: Calvin is better off NOT knowing what’s going on back home…. :-|

Hopefully Hobbes knows the Netflix password

It doesn’t seem that long ago when there were pushbutton phones in the motel room.

This is from back in the day when we had to share telephones. This was done to support the large pharmaceutical companies who then gave us ‘seasons’, like ‘flu season’ and ’allergy season…thank goodness they discovered opioids or the whole industry could have tanked…

At least he hasn’t had to go to a boring old wedding.

If the family has an answering machine, Hobbes could at least hear Calvin’s voice.

Probably invited a girl tiger over for some ‘alone’ time.

That kid needs help.

I hope none of the youngsters are baffled by Calvin’s talk of “renting a movie.” Or, even worse, one that Calvin wanted to see! Calvin’s imagination beats Hollywood to heck and back.

If Calvin weren’t so focused on Hobbes, he’d probably take offense at the “play with the phone” line.

Hobbes is watching the food channel, looking for ways to prepare tuna. Or watching wild animal channels, checking out hot female tigers.

I really love how Calvin, who is old enough to know better, carries on with his fantasy of a real tiger.

Only thing missing from this arc is the opportunity of seeing Hobbes dressed up in a suit and tie for the wedding. Or, better yet, in a tuxedo.
