Of course not, they were invented to put people into more debt than they can cope with. Some folks should never have credit cards, but unfortunately, they are the first to get them.

I never let my monthly credit card spend go above 10% of my limit!

Invented by people who understand how interest adds up for people who don’t.

Ain’t no such thing as a free lunch. College campus credit card recruiters offer “free” gifts just to get people to sign up.

Sears used to be the gateway credit card. They’d give a $200 credit line to anyone.

Unfortunately they are a necessary evil. If you ever intend to get a home loan, you have to be in debt.

I never charge anything on my card that I don’t already have the cash to pay for it. I prefer to use credit cards instead of carrying cash. If I am robbed, I can cancel my cards but would be SOL as far as the cash is concerned.

I put absolutely everything I can on my card. There are a couple of places that get checks, because they use 3rd party card agencies and charge fees. But all else goes on the card -- and is paid off every month. No interest, plus the rewards is enough to fly to Paris each year.

Two years ago, we were refused credit on a used car; because we have no credit history. That’s alright, we just withdrew the cash from our savings account. If somebody steals our IDs, they still have nothing!
