Looks like Ellie should have clipped her fingernails before playing! At least this time she only shredded a pigskin, not a pig’s skin! XD

I wonder if Ellie’s any good at sewing, that might come in handy. Just a thread and needle and she’ll have the technology!

Between teaching him to tie his shoes and now comforting him while he’s crying Ellie is really more taking the part of Hubbs’ big sister rather than girlfriend. I can’t tell if that’s touching or not.

Let’s hope it doesn’t cost… oh, I don’t know… like a lot of money (accounting for inflation, of course).

Love the saddle shoes and rolled-up pants. So reminiscent of the ill-fated 1950’s revival of the Harold Teen strip, panel #4, https://tinyurl.com/y4p8xu2c except that there he’s wearing penny loafers, which he alternated with the saddle shoes he wore in the 1930s. (In the 1920s his voluminous bell bottoms covered his shoes completely. No fair.)

Or if you’re a cartoon purist, consider Lucy van Pelt, who wore saddle shoes exclusively in the comic. No rolled-up pants, though….
