You’re helping, by getting Mama Janis out of your mom’s hair!

She made strawberry jam. Shipped it to A&J and they’re still slicing and cooking strawberries?? WOW! Some crop!

Our middle daughter (the youngest at the time) was offered a dime to help us when we were papering the kitchen. She asked if we’d give her a nickel to stay out of the way.

Nice to see the “kids” even if its from 2016

Now we know what makes the jam so good tasting; it has a lot of sweat equity in it!

Nice to see Meg aged while they were not in the strip. Life goes on.

Using traditional recipes, jellies and jams are just another way of eating sugar. Most recipes, there’s more sugar than fruit!

Meg is growing. Up to Mary Lou’s shoulder now.

When my little brother (who turned 60 last month) was a baby, my mom was on the phone with a friend (remember now, 60 years ago – “phone” meant “cord”) who just wouldn’t stop yakking. Baby bro was lying on the table by her, so she reached over & and gave him a pinch: “Sorry, Doris – the baby’s crying; I’ve got to go!”

Wait. Who’s mom? Not familiar with these other characters. Is this Janis sister? Janis kids?

Do Gene and his family live in Florida? Otherwise, how do they have strawberries in March?

Oh, man…. I was going to be excited for a bit…. until I read this is an old one (I guess I did not remember) from 2016. I was also going to comment on Gene’s hair color being off again…. but this rerun must have occurred during the rough coloring patch.

Bah, I would like some new comics about Gene and MaryLou and Meg. It seems like JJ has grown bored with them I guess.

And Genes hair is blonde again for some unknown reason.
