Well, out of millions and millions of baseball players, there are only 750 major leaguers, and he’s one of the very top of those 750. And the sport generates more than 10 billion dollars a year.
Baseball players make so much money because Americans SPEND so much money to watch it.
And while many (typically on the left) push for higher taxes on the evil 1% or anyone with more money than they have, so many laud these ridiculous salaries that these people make. I don’t get the hypocrisy of it.

And is it any wonder why you need to take out a second mortgage to take your kids to see baseball, football, or basketball game nowadays?
So the guy can hit or throw or catch a ball (don’t do sports so I have no idea who this guy is.) Big, fat, hairy deal.
