“This is Nancy Ritz. Outwardly, an unexceptional elementary school student. But Nancy tries to bend reality to her capricious whims, and astonishingly, sometimes succeeds. As you might expect, the consequences are not exactly what she might hope for… as she comes to learn… in the ‘Twilight Zone.’ "
It would have been funny for this to have been a commentary on OJ’s oft-times unique take on perspective (for her to say, “I have to shim up the legs because the desk is so skewed” would have been really meta) but alas, it was not to be. What would have been even more meta is if we found that today’s cartoon were drawn by Nancy herself, drawing herself in her quiz… yikes, I’m seeing impossible triangles now.

Over in Spanish Nancy, the last couple of strips have not been colored, making the teacher (but not Nancy) a ghost.
This gives an entirely different character to the storyline …

This Nancy is now under consideration for replacement by this poster. Reason: let’s see. Oh, yes, she’s becoming a jerk!
