We put a cat flap in and the cat immediately got her paw stuck and would never use it again. Our small dog, however, took to it like a duck to water and we never had to open the door to let him out (to the back garden). It was only when we stayed with my father years later (who didn’t have a cat flap) that we discovered we had a completely unhousebroken dog! Dad was not amused.

And take him out to exercise instead of just letting him out in the yard.

Since you now have to get a new door, get one with a bigger pet door.

The door’s already busted; just bust it some more and free him.

I’m sure this is weighing heavily on that dog and his owner’s, mind!

OK, you made your point. Now take him to a carpenter to free him.
