“Oh, hey, is now a good time to mention the invisible Topsiders hiding in the waters next to the beach? No? Okay, I’ll bring it up later.”

If I were Wally, I’d leave as soon as possible and not wait to see what happens at the hearing.

Wait until Chic tells him what they found up there. Will Wally be able to convince the hearing that there’s more at stake than kids misbehaving?

There are more important things than finding the exit. Where’s the toilet?

This place the kids went to does have a name…..Hellmouth. Apparently its an off limits place. Feral dittos can be quite dangerous. I don’t see them taking Chic but I do see Wally considering leaving Eden. Too many rules and his wanderlust is not satisfied. His dreams will torment him till he leaves and finishes his journey.

Uh, before you go… You might want to leave a few dittos behind for the Laundry Department.

The foreshadowing has been building that Wally & Friends will be leaving Eden. The hearing will be the last straw. Then they will go be meddling kids and solve the mystery of the Haint on the Sands.

We have a strange situation here with Eden colony and topsiders in this close proximity. There may be a cooperative agreement between the two. There’s no way the topsiders could not have attacked Eden since they know where they are unless there were some restraint. Endtown is in constant fear of topsiders finding their location, yet Eden isn’t .

If these Topsiders know about Eden and don’t have the means (or desire) to destroy it, that indicates these Topsiders aren’t allied with the ones near Endtown. It could be the war started by Apex is still being waged. Remember, the Topsiders near Endtown have a lot of technology while the advantage of these Topsiders seems to be cloaking capability. They might not have zero guns, which is why the kids still exist.

If these are topsiders, maybe they’re using this colony for experiments. Animal experiments. Wasn’t Endtown referred to as farm? A bunch of breeding stock that could be lobotomized if needed? But every farm needs a farmer, someone to tend the herd. Maybe the purpose of this farm is to keep everyone “busy” until one or two are needed for whatever research they’re doing at the moment…

We got to get out of this place if it’s the last thing we ever do.

Chic: “Can we bring Duffy, too?”

    Wally: “Who’s Duffy?”

"Chic: “The one willing to attack an invisible Topsider with just a knife and a sock filled with paint.”

    Wally: “…”

What ever they saw, it was not a standard Topsider. As was pointed out the knife couldn’t hurt a Topsider. Remember when Kirbee saw the plant growing outside the window. I think

We now get to see how deep the bureaucracy goes. Will they be more about punishing the family over Chick breaking the rules, than the news that the Topsider is up there? I think they will do ANYTHING to keep this status quo going and anything that disrupts that is struck down fast.

These domesticated people at Eden have no idea what Wally and Chic are capable of if you push them.

The last time I can recall that Wally was invited to a “hearing” was back in Chic’s home town. That hearing didn’t go very well. https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2014/04/25
