Kirbee is going to make a scene at that hearing when she goes on about haints. They will see her a pure crazy. Wally as irresponsible. They are going to make a move on taking Chic. The Land Sharks from Wally’s candy land dream is about to come true…..they smell the blood in the water. Eden is about to show its true nature.
I think Kirbee is remembering that she gave him that amulet to keep him safe, and it must have. Therefore, it will be safe to let him go to school. Or not. I seldom know what is going to happen next. :o)
The Eye theme has been a reoccurring mystery in Wally’s life, for example https://www.gocomics.com/endtown/2015/07/22 . Even poor Jim’s demise in Unity ended with his words: “I…I…” The significance has never been explained; because in Endtown one mystery is never enough. And yet here we are speculating because we think we have some chance of predicting the direction of the story. Man, this Neathery guy is a good storyteller!Speaking of timing, I notice that Kirbee is finally getting around to the big question where Chic’s answer would reveal what he had seen. But she is stalled by the sight of the eye on the charm that she made…and…; oh crap, now we have to wait until Monday!

Chic told the boys there is a real threat here, not just to themselves but to the colony. He also said they ALL have to come back. Did he mean all the boys on their own? Obviously he hasn’t told Wally and Kirby yet and his determination to go to school must mean he needs to meet with the other boys. Now that his wearing of the amulet has caught Kirby’s attention, she’ll ask the right questions as to why he felt it necessary to wear it.
By the way, “Endtown” hasn’t been showing up in my GoComics e-mail for a while. Thought it might be its late arrival on the scene, but, then, it used to just be there the next day. Anybody else have a problem with this?
